In 1953, company founder Helmut Hanika manufactured his first classical guitars in Baiersdorf, Bavaria. This year, Hanika Guitars is celebrating its 70th anniversary with the current owner, Armin Hanika. A guitar from our well-known workshop is still a symbol of quality and traditional craftsmanship and our "Limited Edition" for the anniversary tells a story of its own.
Martin Weiss is a professional guitarist from Cologne and together with the Swedish-Argentinian singer Alicia Nilsson he forms the "ALMA ACOUSTIC DUO" . Andreas Schulz from the German guitar magazine "AKUSTIK GITARRE" tested the prototype of the completely revised Fusion PC - Model 2022. We´ve further adapted and optimized this model to the needs of Fusion players.
For many years we have been working with the charismatic guitarist Estas Tonne, who describes himself as a modern troubadour. We´ve made different Hanika concert guitars for him, specially designed to meet his requirements.
Tobias Hanika, the eldest son of Armin Hanika, passed his examination to become a luthier in March 2021, thus starting the third generation at Hanika Gitarrenbau.
Last year, at the end of February, when "corona-technically" the world was still all right, our endorser Daniel Göritz, guitarist/composer/editor/teacher/... from Berlin, picked up his new Hanika special model with expandeded bass range by an extended and individually fixable 7th string.
