Cutting the logs - Part 2 - sorb-tree

In consequence to the problems we had sawing the heavy cherry log, we set up our new acquirement, a small log band saw. With this new equipment, the rest of the cherry was cut clean and fast. But the extremely hard wood of the sorb-tree brought the next problem. So we had to experiment with different saw blades to find the ideal solution. But the investment was worth it – from this very rare wood we were able to cut really nice figured backs and sides.
